Dear Daddy,

Sorry I haven't written over the past few days but mom had me on the road for a sleepover at Nonna and Nonno's. I was a little out of sorts and had Nonna and mommy up most of Thursday night but what can I say, I'm growing and my digestive system is trying to work things out so I can be uncomfortable and fussy at times. I'll grow out of it soon enough!

Today marks one week of your being away. Mommy is crossing the days off on a calendar and she feels good every morning she marks an X as it means we are one day closer to your return.

Today Auntie Rosina came for a visit. She brought lunch and several jars of sauce (mommy and I will save a few for when you're home). I slept most of the time she was here so the women sat in the living room and enjoyed some girl chat.

All day today mom has been staring at me. She thinks I'm getting bigger and whispered to me to slow down and wait to grow until you get home. I'm just putting on some baby fat daddy, you aren't missing a thing. My first fun development sign will be when I smile and that won't happen until four to six weeks- just in time for your return home.

Got to go. I'm getting hungry and then I should get some sleep- so mom can get some sleep too.
